We just celebrated our twelfth anniversary. It was the great. They just keep getting more fun, the way it seems to me. First of all, Jessica surprised us with this card in the morning.
Then after lunch we all went to town. After dropping the children off at some friends, we took off in our romantic dodge, ( the nickname for Daniel's new truck!) and had a grand time. First, we went to a jewelers to have my ring fixed. We thought that was a perfect thing to do on an anniversary.

A vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, yummmm. That will always be my favorite.
I told my man that since it was our twelfth anniversary, I needed a dozen roses. He had a lot of fun obliging to that one!
This is the truck he bought a few weeks ago. Not my choice of a truck, but since this is what he wanted I have made it a point to like it. I have lots of fun riding in it, because I get to sit real close to him, something that can't be done in other cars very well. Anyway, we felt like we were all young and in love again. We might not be that young anymore, but still very much in love!
For supper we went to Iowa River Power House, on the river. I know this is not a good picture, but it gives you an idea of what it was like. It was truly relaxing.
This is the best photo I can get of my ring with our cheap camera. (We picked up the ring last night.) Now the diamond is encased in prongs that they put in the ring to keep it in place. I had lost the stone two times before, but now I think it will be safe. It is actually the first time a real diamond is in there! Well, after twelve years... The ring has more character to it than it did before the improvement, so its not a bad deal. I'm just happy it is still the same ring.
So, that was our anniversary day. It was great!
