That's right. I have good news. I am expecting a wee one again! Things look very different this time than last time. We already had one ultrasound done, and there it was. A baby with a heartbeat. Praise the Lord!
After my last miscarriage it took a while for my body and mind to get prepared for this one. Now that the first trimester is almost over things are brightening for me. The first two months were hard, except I did not need to have nausea like I did with the others, thanks to my using B6. I was very unenergetic for a while though and didn't feel like working, so our house got pretty messy at times. Hubby was very understanding, and the children very helpful, I still felt like eating and cooking, so we came along just fine. Now I have temporary hired help to get me back on my feet, and it is such a blessing to have clean windows again!
Come Thanksgiving, I hope to have this house cleaned from top to bottom, and then have all my family here over for a feast. So, I have a lot to look forward to. The best thing to look forward to though, is, going to Canada to have this baby. We want our children to have Canadian nationality, but they have made a new law that makes it hard to make children born outside of Canada Canadian, even if their parents are. We consider it a very good thing to have more than one citizenship.
Going to Canada will mean seeing my mom again. It should be a wonderful time. Since living in Winnipeg we feel very much at home there.Besides having the baby it will be a special trip for the little ones to go see Grandma and Grandpa and cousins, uncles and aunts.
Here is the big thing. I am hoping for a VBA3C, so I am praying for wisdom in this area and want to do what's best for baby. We'll see if it works out or not. Whatever way this baby is born, it won't matter much. We are just happy the Lord saw us fit to have another one! I am not quite past 12 weeks yet, but feeling so fine about this pregnancy that I believe this one will make it through.

The Weekend
Last weekend we decided to get away. Sometimes you just need to do that and take break from your busy life. If it were not for my husband's job which allows us to stay at this resort free of charge, we would not be able to afford it. We are very grateful for it.
Swimming was THE highlight for our children. They had a choice of the pool or the beach. When the pool was empty, they preferred it, but when it was busy then it was the beach. Both were fun.
This little guy was quite contented on land. For some reason the water intimidated him this time, so we tried to go easy on him. Once when the others were swimming I took him for a walk.
We weren't lucky enough to see any.
The yard is well kept and looks very inviting. They also had a herb and vegetable garden I enjoyed visiting.
For one dinner we went to this cafe. I insist it is the best place to eat in Belize, and is called Chef Rob's Gourmet Cafe. We ordered 4 course meals. I had lobster soup, while Daniel had coconut curry soup. We both had pineapple salads. I had red snapper with grapefruit salsa, and Daniel had steak. We both had roasted banana with ice cream for dessert. It was delicious just like the last time we ate there. They do not serve local foods, but wonderful seafood and steaks. There are several restaurants in town where you can get plenty of local dishes. Since eating here I have taken an interest in gourmet cooking...
While there we were graced with this band playing us some garifuna music. The small town of Hopkins is rich in garifuna history, and for the first time in life I took a look into their history. It is certainly an interesting story, starting with a few slaveship wrecks...
I took a sound clip of the music but blogger won't let me upload it so I am unable to share it.

The Harvest
Harvest time is here. It is one the most favorite times of the year for us, if we have any crops that need harvesting. This year we have two crops, and one is harvested already. We were quite pleased with the yield, especially since that field has never produced such a nice crop before. Here are some fun shots...
Watermelon breaks are the most fun, aren't they now...
Oh, the carefree days of childhood.
These two had fun collecting some spilled corn, as daddy will pay them for it.... this brings me back to the days when I was young, and after a bean harvest at my Grandparents' farm my brothers and I would trek way out to those fields in the hot humid sun and gather what we could find of the left-behind beans, which our parents would pay us for when we got older, and my mom would cook for us to eat. I find it almost scary that our parents would let us do that, out in the middle of nowhere. But nothing bad happened to us, and did we have fun!
