Pregnancy Update at 7 months

I know some of you have been waiting to see me pregnant again, so here I am! At 7 months. I finally got to getting some photos taken by my daughter. My sister sent me this little peach dress from Taiwan. It is such a cool and comfy dress for the hot days.

Things have been going well, or as can be expected, I guess. I am trying to keep sugar and white flour down, and exercise up, and it seems to be paying off.

As for the birth, many of you know of my desire to birth this one natural, as has been the desire for all three so far, but never happened yet. This time I have a wonderful midwife, and we are considering what options we have. We are just happily looking forward to this birth and trusting in the Lord to open the way for us He wants us to take. I don't want any selfish desires on my part, but only what's best for baby and myself, and for the family. We will know in about 2 months how things turn out; you will be sure to hear from me then!

From the mouth of a three year old

Those three year olds are always entertaining, aren't they? Here he was sweeping the puddle when I asked him what he was doing. He was just "sweeping it so it wouldn't be so full"!

Here are some more sentences for kicks..:

"When will I be bigger than Daddy?"

"Is my mouth bigger than a dinosaurs' mouth?"

When told he was a Banman, (from his mommy's side), yet only wanting to be something his daddy is, he wants to know, "Is Daddy a Banman too?"
 "No, he's not."
"Well, then I'm not a Banman either".

Moving Time has come

Yep, that's right. Time to moooove again. This time its just down the lane a short ways, so it probably is one of the easiest moves we've done, except the ones we did before the time of children. In spite of the fact that I have a huge 6 month pregnant belly to carry around, or should I say around 20 extra pounds, I am managing fairly well. If it weren't for the fact that my feet hurt too much to stand anymore, I probably would not be sitting here. this time there is no rush, no immediate deadline which makes it a lot less stressful than if we needed to be out soon. We take a load or two a day, however it works best for us. And in the 'new' house, which is actually far from new, there is so much space; it seems no matter how much we carry in, it has lots more room. One day I will show you some photos, but I have not taken them yet. I am excited to move in, even though I have had my struggles. I shall update you with photos once I have them, but for now I wanted to let you know that the next post might not come real soon. I do not know how soon internet will be up so please be patient; it will come eventually! I also want to update you on my pregnancy soon...once things have slowed down for us some...

Take care!
I leave you with two photos of our growing children...

My big boy is 7!

When I think back to those days they were tiny in the hospital, I am so happy we are on our way to have another one, in a little over 3 months. It is very exciting indeed, but for now I want to focus on Joseph, the big birthday boy. He just isn't small anymore, as you can see in the photos.

He loves dressing up cowboy style, especially when it comes to helping Daddy, his uncle and cousin with cattle.

This year when we found out our friends had some puppies they wanted to get rid of, we decided to give him one for his birthday. I went there on his birthday and let him pick his own, although they all looked very much alike to me! He knew exactly which one he wanted. Since we are moving to a big farm in a few weeks, this dog will come in very handy. It is precious seeing the boys take care of and play with him.

We looked online for puppy names, and it didn't take him long to pick. It was Rusty, a name we others all approved of.
Perhaps the best part of his birthday was that Daddy took him on his very first fishing trip ever! I packed a nice lunch for them of fried chicken, fries, pineapple and cookies, and packed it in this neat little bucket I found at a yard sale--for free.

They did not catch any fish this time, which I expected. Isn't fishing all about having fun, swimming, eating and walking to the river anyway? Just having a grand ole boy time with his Daddy. It was very good for him. He learned the basics of fishing, and how to handle a rod, and that is a big accomplishment already. Maybe next time they can fish somewhere where there are more fish, or another river. For now, he had all the fun he needed for his birthday. No toys, no fancy gifts, just a dog we got for free and a fishing trip with Daddy, something I think he will remember for the rest of his life.

Time out

I know I know! I have been lousy here lately. But when you are very excited about getting ready for a baby, taking special care to exercise and healthy eating, when you are planning a move in a month, when you are trying to give your children all the care they need, then its OK for a blog to get neglected for a month. Here are some photos of a very neat place we ate at recently. In a short while I hope to get some photos of me, the big mommy, on here as well.

This is McWolf's burger, located just a mile or so east once we leave Spanish Lookout.

There is a thatched roof to the back of the little shack which houses a neat seating area.

The food did not cost a fortune, something we appreciate. The lights were old lanterns replaced with bulbs. Love the idea!

So, if you're looking for a lovely little place to go relax and eat, try McWolf's! Besides burgers, they have pizza and other simple foods and specialties like fried or bbq chicken.

Hot Orange (Cider?)

It is getting chilly in Belize. And then I am reminded that a cup of hot apple cider would be great. Well, I could do that, but it would cost a pretty penny, so I decided to make do with orange juice. Those we get at 10 cents a piece whereas a big apple is 2 dollars. No can do apples! I found out I liked the mulled orange juice just swell, although my little Canadian/Americans would have preferred apple cider.

Take: one quart orange juice
Add: 3 cinnamon sticks
some whole cloves, about 6 pieces or to taste
some orange peel
a tablespoon or two of brown sugar, as the juice tends to sour a little from heating

Bring to a boil, simmer on low for about 10 minutes, turn off and let sit for a bit to mix flavors. Serve warm in some pretty tea cups!

A Day Out

Last Saturday we went out for the day with the crew that is associated with the light plant where Daniel works part time. The kids sure enjoyed it; I did too, but wasn't able to do the things most others did because of my blessed situation. It was ok; this way I was able to focus all attention on Timothy and had fun with him.
We went on a bus with the other folks together to Cave's Branch where most enjoyed some zip lining and cave tubing. I enjoyed watching where I could. A shame I couldn't zipline, as from a kid I have always dreamed of doing it. Hopefully some day!

Getting all saddles up for the journey through space.

What's this? Not my baby! Yes, my baby too! Guess what this mother prayed as she saw her helpless little 3 year old fly down that line hanging on for dear life! (Why don't they enforce any age rules around here...???)
O well; you want them to grow up sometime.

There she goes! It's pretty hard to get a good photo of this sport. Everything goes too fast!

And this is the only proof I have that my baby made it across the first line. For whatever reason I or my camera couldn't operate when he was in the air...wonder why...
After one zip he was done! Ah what a relief on my part...although I think he enjoyed it; with him it is hard to tell...

Joseph had no problem zipping along like a pro. I enjoy seeing him being such a brave tough little man.
The next fun thing was tubing through the cave. I walked as far as the river but stopped there. Timothy had fun at the water for a while and after that we looked at a small cave.

I tried to teach him to take a photo of me. Not too bad for a three year old after several tries!
